What a Day

I had a great day off today. What did I do with it you ask, why come to the center of course :)
To where I bound volunteer manuals, restocked some frozen mackerel tubs, made squid igloos (not really but could have as they come out of the box as frozen bricks), moved filing cabinets in the old dorm which is now the centers classroom and other fun things.
If I restock the tubs again I will try to take pictures.

Much Bettter... Feel That Open Water

After caring and watchful eyes Vida relaxed and was back to her old self again a few days after the transmitter was attached and she received new travel plans.

With helping hands Vida was safely escorted to Amelia Island Florida on Saturday May 24

To where she tasted open ocean water for the first time since December 17 2007 when she came to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center from St. Augustine Florida weak and slightly anemic.

She turned towards the crowed to probably say "thank you and good bye"

before swimming away happily back into the ocean to where all of us at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center wish her luck.

Flipper Tag

Here I am giving a turtle a Right Front Flipper Tag (RFF). I am also representing Organic Chemistry check out the socks :)

Lets try this again

Since everyone thinks my work is cool I have decided to try blogging again. I am going to take after Phil with his life in pictures idea and try to update this more often than the last blog I had.
